Below are driving directions from Oakdale, CA (which is at the intersection of routes 120 and 108, around 22 miles east of Manteca, around 31 miles south and east of Stockton, around 87 miles south and east of Concord).

Driving Directions from Oakdale, CA:

1. Take Highway 108 east towards Sonora (36 miles from Oakdale to Sonora) In Sonora, you will be-pass the town by staying on Highway 108; do not take the right onto Mono Way.
2. Drive 25.7 miles on Hwy 108, to Strawberry, CA.
3. After passing through Strawberry, drive approximately 4 miles until you see the Beardsley Reservoir turn off.
4. Take a left and go slowly down the forest service road to the dam (8 miles).
5. Cross the dam and climb up the other side veering left around the camp ground. This road is one lane wide in sections so be careful.
6. The Beardsley Dam to dirt road portion is 5.3 miles.
7. From dirt road to camp is just over 2 miles.
8. The new parking lot is down the gravel road to the left.
